Deserving schools can apply for generous grants.

Schools Plus’ grant application round has just opened, an opportunity for eligible schools to receive up to $60,000 in funding for a strategic project designed to improve student outcomes.

To be eligible, schools must have a value below 1000 on the Index of Community Socio-Educational Advantage (ICSEA).

Schools Plus’ recent survey of the support schools need indicated that the main area of focus for applications would be student mental health and wellbeing. However, Schools Plus provides funding for a wide range of other initiatives. Previous successful applications have supported STEM projects, programs dedicated to improving literacy and numeracy, initiatives to improve family and community engagement and activities that develop future focused capabilities, amongst many others.

Since its inception six years ago, Schools Plus has supported over 1,000 schools, 300,000 students and distributed more than $28m in support to schools. Our mission is to close the education gap caused by disadvantage.

Applications are open until Friday 20 August. More information is available on the Smart Giving page
