New resource website for NSW HSC students

Students sitting the NSW HSC in 2017 will benefit from a new resource website created by academics at Charles Sturt University (CSU).

Lecturer in education in the CSU School of Education in Albury-Wodonga, Paul Grover said the new website fills the gap left by the closing of an earlier HSC study website.

"When the HSC Online site that had been in existence for more than a decade was closed in 2016, there was no longer a comprehensive online HSC study resource website for NSW senior secondary students," Grover said.

Grover believes there are three key reasons why students need an HSC subjects resource website.

"Firstly, students in regional areas and across all of NSW will now have access to quality HSC subject study resources to support their HSC exam studies," he said.

"There are no other universities providing this service and support to NSW senior high school students, yet these HSC students are at a stage of their lives where education is their priority, and where they are actively considering their vocational future.

"Thirdly, as a regional university, Charles Sturt University has a commitment to regional communities and has an excellent foundation in quality teaching and learning and library services."

The site contains HSC subject learning resources for all courses that have a significant number of students studying them, as well as study skills resources and information about studying at university.

The CSU guide for HSC students can be found here.
