Portable digital projectors from NEC
NEC will introduce two portable digital projectors in September. Models NP41G and NP61G are designed for use in educational and corporate environments. At 1.6 kg, they are easy to carry and easy to set up.

The automatic NP41G and NP61G models provide bright (2300 and 3000 lumens respectively) and colourful images while remaining quiet in use (32dB in ECO Mode).

Their quick-start and quick-cooling features minimise setup and shutdown times, while automatic focus instantly provides a sharp detailed image.

Both models NP41G and NP61G automatically detect the source and project the image with auto input selection, while the AutoSense feature intuitively syncs the projector with most computer signals and features one-touch image optimisation.

Automatic vertical keystone correction technology projects a square image, even when the projector is set up at a steep offset angle.

The projectors come with a standard two-year limited parts and labour warranty.
Recommended retail prices are  $1728 for the NP41G and $2452 for the NP61G.

Epson G Series installation projectors
Designed for low maintenance and reliable long term operation in high use and high traffic environments, the new Epson G Series is aimed at the education, hospitality and professional sectors.

The new model range includes both widescreen and wireless enabled projectors with high brightness up to 5000 ANSI lumens and high contrast ratios for maximum flexibility in all types of environments.

With a sophisticated centre lens design, the projectors can be configured to suit any venue, with a 1.8x wide zoom standard lens and five optional easily changeable Epson bayonet type lenses to suit any installation requirements.

Epson states that the G Series has a greater range of vertical lens shift – +/-50% – than competitors, and a +/-10% horizontal shift range, allowing maximum flexibility during installation.

The projectors feature a control panel located at the rear of the unit, rather than on the top, which allows easy setup and adjustment when the projector is ceiling mounted.

Epson's G Series projectors have been designed to blend in to any venue, and include smart cabling via a two-tier interface and a shallow cable cover that hides unsightly cables.

Epson G Series projectors are available now  at Epson dealers. Recommended retail prices for the three models are:
EB-G5100 $5999; EB-G5200W $6499; and EB-G5350 $6999.
