The gift of a watch is a great way to mark a graduation and Queensland based Adina Watches have launched a bespoke service for Australian schools creating limited edition timepieces.

St Aidan's Anglican Girls' School in Brisbane was one of the first to commission the Woolloongabba company late last year to create a watch that celebrated the students’ graduation and the school’s 90th anniversary.

“Being St Aidan’s 90th anniversary, we wanted to create something very special for the school,” GM Grant Menzies and one half of the father and son duo who helm Adina Watches said.

As they were based locally Adina Watches were able to spend several days at the school working with the leadership team and getting to better understand the history and ethos behind St Aidan’s.

“This allowed us to create a design that would reflect the spirit of the school while remaining modern and timeless, ensuring it would be a gift that the graduates would want to wear both now and for decades to come,” Menzies said.

As a result of this recent commission, Adina Watches has been named a Preferred Partner of St Aidan's and 10% of the sale of each watch was given to a bursary that helps students to travel interstate and internationally for extra-curricular activities.

“We’re beginning to see an increase in the younger demographic purchasing watches, due to the powerful memories and intrinsic value a timepiece holds for them,” said Menzies.

“We wanted to replicate this sentiment for these special and unique time pieces, while also gifting students with an accessory that makes them look and feel successful, powerful and ready for their journey into the real world.
