Having a projector to accompany a talk is great, getting it running is often not so great and with that in mind BenQ has released a new USB-C button kit connectivity option to expand the compatibility of its InstaShow™ wireless presentation equipment.

All you do is plug the device into the laptop’s USB port, press the button and you’re up and projecting regardless of what kind of laptop you’re using, that’s a lot of time and frustration saved while adding Full HD 1080p video and 16-bit stereo audio wireless streaming capability.

The equipment requires no software installation, execution, or setup and InstaShow’s new USB-C connectivity only needs a single connection to access both video and power.

It also looks cool, with a stripped down, simple, single-button, single-plug design and because there is no software or driver installation to the source device, InstaShow offers absolute data security, featuring WPA2-PSK protection with 128-bit encryption.

“USB-C brings digital connectivity to the modern era of SuperSpeed+ data transfers, audio/video delivery, as well as power and fast charging, while allowing device makers to develop slimmer and lighter devices,” said Martin Moelle, MD of BenQ Australia.

“In today’s business landscape of device interoperability, InstaShow’s new USB-C compatibility expands true plug-and-play wireless presentation capabilities for all devices equipped with USB-C, including MacBook users.”

The new USB-C button kit is fully compatible with previous InstaShow WDC10 receivers, so the button kits can be easily added to existing InstaShow WDC10 host for wireless projection. There is also a new USB-C full kit option which doesn’t need HDMI compatibility.
